Vicky Lynn Rogers

Vicky Lynn Rogers, 62, of King went home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 5th, 2019. She was born on April 18th, 1957 and lived in King, NC most of her life. She was a loving and hard working stay at home mother for many years before becoming a manager at Rural Hall Lampshade Company. Vicky then opened up her own consignment boutique called Vicky’s Varieties. She also worked as a seamstress for Carolon Company. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Rogers and her brother Joseph Rogers. She is survived by her three children, a daughter, Wendy L. Marshall and husband Nathan Marshall, a daughter, Dawn M. Moorefield and husband Chris Moorefield, and a son, Brian G. Bowles; seven grandchildren, Trinity, Abel and Jayce Marshall, Kaitlyn, Tristen and Mary Moorefield, Bianca Bowles and Jake Floyd; two sisters, Phyllis Ashby and Becky Hudson; one niece and one nephew and cousins. Vicky was known for her sense of humor, infectious laugh and a giving spirit. She believed in the Lord and knew where her true home was, in heaven with Him. Her children, family and friends will miss her deeply and look forward to the day when we will see her again in our heavenly home with Jesus. A service of remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Saturday November 16th, 2019 in the fellowship hall at First Christian Church.

I was so sorry to learn of Vickie’s passing recently. We worked together at Rural Lampshade Co. and became friends. She was one of the funniest people that I have ever known, and with the biggest heart. She loved her three kids fiercely, and I’m sure she was a fun Grandmother. I wish I had stayed in touch with her. God Bless you Wendy, Dawn and Brian. Sherrie Horton
