Barbara Ellen Dye, 75, a Baptist that loved the Lord returned home in Winston-Salem North Carolina on Saturday May 11, 2024 from heart failure. She was born 1949 in Denver Colorado.
Like many in the family she worked many different jobs. She was store management at Colorado lace laundry and dry cleaners, as a data and microfish processer at several banks. She was a USO hostess in 1970 and helped veterans with ptsd later on. She gave strangers she'd meet a hug if they needed one to make their day better. She loved to talk with people and tell stories.
She was preceeded in death by her father Daniel Quietman Dye Sr, her mother Barbara Sarah Dye and brother Daniel Quietman Dye Jr.
Aside from all the treasured memories that my mother left behind, which allow us to hold her forever near, she also leaves behind a legacy of teaching her daughter Christine Demary, grand children Justin Dye, Anastasia Grimmett and grandson inlaw Lance Grimmett, great grand children Caalib, Cole, Caz, and Caenon what is most important in life family and love. She will be greatly missed.
She spread love and kindness wherever she went, offering hugs and listening ears to those in need. Her warmth and charisma made her a beloved figure, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Now, as she moves on to the next journey, she'll be cremated and rest in a picturesque location chosen, watching over us all with love and grace.
