Bobby Elliott

Bobby Elliott, 70, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday August 17, 2024.  He was the son of the late Leroy Elliott and Nellie Mae Harris Crenshaw, was born on July 10, 1954, in Harnett County.

Later in life he relocated to Winston Salem, NC.  Before retiring he worked at the Winston Salem NAACP office where he met many new friends.

Bobby was outgoing and loved to have fun, cherishing the time he spent with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Jalyse McDougald of Godwin, North Carolina; 6 siblings Lillie Elliott of Lillington, North Carolina, Lorene Hinton of Charleston, South Carolina, Fredia (Derrick) Waters of Charlotte, North Carolina, Delories Armstrong of Spring Lake, North Carolina, Maurice Elliott of Dunn, North Carolina, Jody Elliott of Sanford, North Carolina; 3 grandchildren; Zionna Smith 14, Zyon McDougald 12, Zymic McDougald 10; host of relatives and friends.

God Saw You

God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be;  So He put His arms around you, and whispered "Come to me"  with tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.  Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands are at rest .

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
