Catherine McDowell Forbus, 89, of Lexington passed away Friday July 5, 2019 at Hospice in High Point after several years of declining health. She was born April 12, 1930 in the home to Fred and Etta Whitt McDowell. She was retired from Jostens in Winston Salem after 19 years. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Carl Forbus. She is Survived by her daughters Deborah Forbus Everhart and husband Mel of Clemmons, and Anne Forbus Wagoner of High Point, and Chris Berrier of High Point who could always make her smile and was known for spoiling her; her sister Betty Goins of Advance; grandchildren, Andrew Everhart of Wisconsin, Shane Plott and wife Sierra, Taylor Wagoner and fiance Keegan of Thomasville; and great grandchildren Carly and Mason of Winston Salem. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 13, 2019 at 2pm at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Casual dress is what she would want. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont in her name.
