Cole Charles Weaver, 6, of Winston-Salem died Sunday, November 5, 2017. Cole had a big heart, with a sweet, extraordinary, welcoming, fearless spirit. He was an early riser with no need for an alarm, raring to go with passion each day. Cole never met a stranger, was comfortable with all kinds of conversation and loved to make people laugh. He was an old soul; his curious mind was matched by a great capacity for empathy and generosity. Cole loved playing with his big sister, legos, friends, and was always eager to share. He is survived by parents Chris and Kate Weaver, his sister, Ella Elizabeth (10), grandparents Molly & Mitch Beaver, Ginny & Kirk Weaver, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 10 at 3:00 pm at Green Street United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday, November 9th from 5:30-7:30 pm. The worship service is being planned with Cole's many young friends in mind. Cole's friends are welcome to wear comfortable clothes and his favorite color, blue. Children's art & lego activities will be provided during the Thursday night visitation. In honor of Cole's welcoming spirit, the family would appreciate memorials in lieu of flowers, designated for the new Children's Welcome Center of Green Street UMC, part of the planned church renovations.
