Doris Louise Hogan Hooker, 81, of Winston-Salem went home to be with our lord and savior on Tuesday August 24, 2021. She was born in Marion, NC to Dora and Leroy Hogan on May 10, 1940. After a brief battle with covid-19 and a long battle with M.S. She loved her family with all her heart. Heaven has gained another angel. Doris worked at the Harris Teeter distribution center in Greensboro NC for many years until her M.S. forced her to retire. She enjoyed passing time playing solitaire and other brain games on her tablet and connecting with her friends and family on facebook. She was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband of 30 plus years Billy R Hooker; a brother John Edward Hogan; and a brother-in-law Charles Robinson. She is survived to cherish her memories by a daughter Sharon Holmes; an exceptionally cherished grand-daughter Kelly Holmes; a step-son Keith Hooker (Linda); a sister Frances Robinson; a sister-in-law Eva Mae Hogan; along with numerous nieces; and nephews. We would like to send a special thank you to all her doctors and nurses at Forsyth Medical Center for all their hard work and dedication to her care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26.
