Douglas "Doug" Eugene Bennett

Douglas “Doug” Eugene Bennett, 55, of Winston-Salem/Midway passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born May 22, 1967 in West Virginia to William Bennett and Beverly Smith. Doug was employed at Greif of Welcome.  He also did tree work in his free time. Doug was preceded in death by his parents; a brother William Daniel Bennett “Danny”; and a nephew Brian Bennett. Doug loved God, hot wings, country music, and his daughter. He is survived by his daughter Sara Bennett; Sara’s mother Tracy Williams; brother David Bennett (Melissa); sister Pamela Pettry (Stacy); 8 nieces; 4 nephews; 2 great nieces; and 8 great nephews. A celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Xtreme Wings and Things, 3441 Myer Lee Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
