Edna Ruth Smith Taylor, 92, of Winston Salem, was sent home to be with her heavenly father at Forsyth Medical Center on Saturday July 13, 2019. Born April 27, 1927, Edna lived a long, flourishing life. Edna was a member of Advent Moravian Church, where she attended most Sundays with her husband, Roger Taylor. Edna was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Bell Williams Smith; father, Jacob McLean Smith; husband, Roger Taylor; daughter, Joyce Caswick; sister, Barbara Jean Smith, and brothers, Charles Smith, Jack Smith, Danny Smith and Bill Smith. Edna is survived by her daughter, Donna G. Lambeth; granddaughters, Taylor Lambeth, Michelle Salvadore, Kimberly Caswick Maxwell; grandson, Joshua Lambeth, as well as her great grandchildren: Mitchell Byers, Ryan Powers, Damon Salvadore, Kyle Salvadore, and Giovanni Dominguez-Lambeth. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, and cousins; Edna's special friend and companion her Chihuahua Baby; and special friend Kent Lambeth. Edna's Graveside service will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome an hour before the funeral for viewing. Interment will also take place at Parklawn Memorial Park after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Parklawn Memorial Park, 2730 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27127.
