Elizabeth Ann (Thompson) Mathis

September 7, 1961 — June 14, 2023

Elizabeth Ann Thompson Mathis, of Winston-Salem, entered into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Beth was born to William and Peggy Thompson in Memphis, TN on September 7, 1961. Her family moved to Winston-Salem when she was three years old. She graduated from Salem Academy, earned her bachelors degree from Piedmont Bible College, and a masters degree from UNC-G. Beth was the co-founder of Ghostwriters, Inc, a technical writing firm that served both local and international companies. She worked as a technical writer for over 35 years.

Beth is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ronnie; daughter Kristen (Kirby) and grandson Ripken of Walnut Cove; sons Joseph (Stephanie) of Winston-Salem and Benjamin (Uriel) of Mt. Airy; her parents and sister, Laura Matthews, of Winston-Salem.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Marshall Baptist Church, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC. There will be a time of visitation preceding the service from 1:00 PM - 2:45 PM at the church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to the Blossom Creek Missions Project of Honduras, c/o Salem Baptist Church, 429 S. Broad St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
