George Franklin Watson

George Franklin "Frank" Watson, 81, of King passed peacefully on Friday August 31, 2018. Frank was born July 26, 1937 in Mercer County, West Virginia to Fred and Dora Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, many siblings, spouses, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank is survived by two children, Frankie Watson and Anita "Prissy" (John) Hall; grandchildren Tyler Watson, Tanner Watson and Kayla Bradley; two brothers Wes Watson and Don (Rhonda) Watson; and one sister, Sue (Jay) Donathan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frank battled Dementia and Parkinson's Diseases for twelve years, with 10 of those years spent at Village Care Nursing Home in King, NC. The family would like to thank the entire medical team and staff at Village Care for not only taking the best care of Frank, but also for their acts of kindness, love and patience with him. We will be forever grateful to them. Frank is now healed and with his Heavenly Father and family which is a blessing. A family and friends graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday September 5, 2018 at Gardens of Memory, 5676 Old Walkertown Rd., Walkertown, NC 27051 with Rev Doug Rights officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to King Outreach Ministry, 413 Kingsway Dr., King, NC 27021.
