Harold Dean "Butch" Whitt, 73, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, July 23, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 28, 1943 in Winston-Salem to Howard William and Faye Knott Whitt. Butch was a transmission mechanic for 20 plus years. For a short time, he was a DJ for a local radio station. He is survived by his wife Nancy Whitt; son Dion Whitt; daughter Christina Metz; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers.
