Hubert Decatur Landreth, Jr

Hubert “Decatur” Landreth, Jr., 53, of Kernersville passed away unexpectedly November 23, 2024 at his home. Decatur was born July 22, 1971 to the late Hubert Decatur Landreth, Sr. and the late Barbara Wood Landreth. He was raised in Belews Creek, NC and graduated from Carver High School in 1990. Decatur graduated from Guilford Tech in 1992 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He also received a degree from Guilford College in 2005 for Safety Studies. Decatur worked at TE Connectivity from 1994 until 2024 and made many friends there. Decatur was a very stoic man who complained very little. His friends knew he was always there if needed. Decatur loved trains, history, watching old Andy Griffith reruns, and, of course, Corvettes. Decatur was always sharing stories about his dad and spending time with his Aunt “Boo” at Lake Norman. Decatur was baptized October 24, 2021 at Kernersville Church of Christ. Decatur is survived by his sister Cynthia Belinsky of Greensboro, a niece Jamie (Abe) Blasko, and her daughter Delaney of Raleigh.
