James “Jj” Valente Jr

James "JJ" Valente, Jr., 41 of Winston Salem, NC gained his wings on February 16th 2018 after battling the incurable disease of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). He was surrounded by his family during his peaceful passing at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. His heroic battle with ALS lasted two and a half years. This disease took many things from this wonderful man but never took his spirit. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a great friend, by everyone he leaves behind. He was an inspiration to many, including his beautiful daughter Haley. He leaves behind his wife Michelle Valente, his daughter Haley Valente, his mother Monica DelPozzo of Kernersville NC, his Father James Valente (Judy) of Westfield MA, his sister Catrina Valente and niece Felisha Valente of Chesterfield VA. He is also survived by loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends . His wife Michelle wishes to express her heartfelt thanks and forever gratitude to those who were always there for them during this difficult time; Monica DelPozzo (mother), Carlos and Chelcie Mejia (brother and sister in law), MaryAnn Patten (mother in law). Also the entire staff at Kate B . Reynolds Hospice for their support in his final days.
