Jerry Lloyd Brady

Jerry Lloyd Brady, 84, died peacefully in the comfort of his home in Olin, NC, Saturday September 26, 2020. He was born and raised in California by the late William and Thelma Brady. He served in the Air Force for 4 years and then opened a bicycle shop in California. Jerry then moved on to building cylinder heads for various types of race cars for around 50 years. He was a wonderful husband and father with a kind gentle soul. Jerry loved spending time with his family and friends.  He loved taking rides with his wife through the NC mountains. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and was very creative.  He created many things but mostly wine holders and bottle stoppers which he sold at a little shop in the mountains. Jerry lived a wonderful life until Dementia hit him which he battled for 5 years.  He will be greatly missed by many. Jerry was preceded in death by is parents; and two children Greg and Linda. He is survived by his wife Mary of 31 years; his children Bryce Miler (Keith), Duke Brady (Ann), and Jim Brady; 2 step children Jill Grant (Scott), and Jack Renauer (Krish); 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-grandchildren.
