Jonathan Wayne McKee

Jonathan Wayne McKee, 73, of Winston-Salem North Carolina went home to be with the lord Saturday November 9, 2024. He was born in Danville, Virginia January 4, 1951 to Ralph and Ruby McKee. He graduated from North Forsyth High School. He was employed at Coca Cola, he then went to the City of Winston-Salem NC in Forsyth County where he worked for 30 years and then retired. His last place of employment was TLLS, a landscaping company. Rita McKee, widow of Jonathan McKee;  shared many amazing years together as a married couple. They were married 16 long wonderful years of their lives. They attended Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain NC for many years and served the Lord. Jonathan was a wonderful musician when it came to any string instrument, he could play it better than anyone I knew. He was humble and kind and would help any individual that needed his grace and help. He was a great provider to his wife and family. He always led with the Lord first in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents: and his stepson Gilbert Lee Collison. He is survived by his wife Rita McKee; Step children Robert Collison, and Teddy Dobson; three grandchildren Faith Johnson, Cayden Dobson, Julian Collison; great granddaughter Harper Wren; three brothers Steve McKee, Ben McKee (Margo); and Thomas McKee, and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at Friendly Chapel Church at a later date.
