Julia Faye Murrell

Julia Faye Murrell, 60 of Winston Salem passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14 2024 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, N.C. Faye was born a few minutes earlier than her fraternal twin brother Julius Clay on August 26, 1963 in Ahoskie, N.C. to the late William Kenneth Murrell and Naomi Murrell Bunch. Faye graduated from Ahoskie High School in 1981. She attended Winston Salem State University. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative for North Carolina Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Insurance. Faye also attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, Winston-Salem NC.

Both parents preceded her in death; as well as youngest sister Alyce Murrell. Faye leaves to cherish her loving memory twin brother, USAF MSgt(Retired) Julius Clay Murrell(Nicki); Betina Jones(Elrod); Dwayne Murrell;  Sister in law Joanne Adams(Art). Eboni Murrell (Myles); Nephews Elrod Jones Jr.(Sonya), Quincy Jones(LaQuisha), Jason Mathis(Dupri); Great Nephew James Jones. She was blessed to have close devoted friends Shelia Lee and Isiah "Boo" Jenkins. Faye leaves behind numerous classmates from WSSU, childhood friends and friends here in Winston Salem N.C.

A private memorial service will be held at Twin City Cremations and Funeral Home, Winston-Salem NC on Saturday June 1,  2024.
