Maria Antionette Wingate

Maria Antionette Wingate, 39, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023. She was born August 4, 1983. Affectionately known as "ReRe"  to her friends and family, she was a loving sister and auntie.  She worked at TJ Maxx for 20 years and was a faithful employee. Maria enjoyed traveling, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and singing. She had a great sense of humor and a terrific laugh and smile. Most importantly, she loved God and always gave words of encouragement to others. She was preceded in death by her mother Susanna Wingate Bridges. Maria is survived by her siblings Shiela (Odell) Marshall, Denise Carter, Chato Carter, and Richard Lynch. A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncle in both North Carolina and South Carolina. In addition, she has two devoted nieces Shakira Marshall and Deja Marshall. Maria was a blessing that came into our lives and for that, we are so thankful unto God. She will be missed by all that knew her, and we will forever treasure her memory.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, June 5, 2023 at Oak Summit Park in Winston Salem, NC. The inurnment will be at Piedmont Memorial Gardens in a private ceremony, at a later date.
