Milford Duane Long

December 20, 1939 — December 29, 2021

Milford Duane Long, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday December 29, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

He was born December 20, 1939 in Chatfield, Minnesota to the late Joe
and Helen Long. Duane worked in Greensboro for 40 years as an expert
service engineer for DTI Integrated Business Solutions and the former
Cavin's. His free time was devoted to coaching young men in
basketball, football, baseball. He was also an avid fresh and
saltwater fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by his son
Michael D. Long; and grandson Kohen M. Long.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Margaret C. Long of the home; sons Kyle Peterson, Raleigh; Brad
Peterson and his wife, April, Clemmons; stepson Scott and Michelle Summerlin,
Greensboro; grandson Kade Peterson; and granddaughter Cassidy Bliss; his
sister Debbie L. Suess of Minnesota; with a large extended family; and numerous friends.

A service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday January 2, 2022 at The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints, Clemmons, NC. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Duane's memory
to Trellis Supportive Care, or to your charity of choice.
