Nancy Ann Sloan Culler, 75, of Winston-Salem passed away December 31, 2023. God looked down from Heaven and saw our precious mother suffering and He said, "It is time, my child." With those words He reached down and took her in His arms and ended her suffering. The angels are rejoicing for another soul has come home. But our hearts are broken. Nancy Ann Sloan Culler was born June 17, 1948 in Botetourt County, VA to James Otho and Dorothy Sink Sloan. Nancy was a hard working mother of three children. She worked as a seamstress until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband David Lee Culler; two brothers David and James Sloan; her son Timothy Mayo; and her beloved dachshund Pinky. She is survived by her two daughters Valerie Smith and Pam (Harold) Foster; her stepson David Ray Culler; stepdaughter Melinda Winfree; her daughter-in-law Kim Roper; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Kerns; many nieces and nephews; and too many friends to count. She was a faithful member of Woodland Baptist Church for many years. She loved her church and her church family. She especially loved her pastor, Tim Gammons. Her memorial service will be Sunday January 14, 2024 at 2 pm in the place she loved to be on Sunday, Woodland Baptist Church. There will be a short visitation after the service. Her cremated remains will be inurned at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville, NC on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at 2pm. We love you, Mom, and you will be greatly missed.
