Nancy Lee Franklin, 56, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother and sister. She was called home on December 16, 2019 comforted by her children. Nancy was born in Wilson, Arkansas on June 20, 1963 to Idella and Johnny Franklin Sr. She attended Omaha Public Schools. She worked as a school bus driver and home health care aide. She had a passion for cooking. She knew what pan to use for what type of dish and was not afraid to give anyone a few good cooking tips. She had a gift for cooking great and tasty meals. She was soul food in a dress. Nancy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents Idella Oluigbo (Franklin) Johnny Franklin Sr.; and grandson Danny Harris Jr. She is survived by and leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life, six children Felicia Franklin, Amber Franklin, Denise Franklin, Edward Franklin, Niosha Franklin and Jamie Carter; Step Sons James Littrell and Joshua Littrell; Siblings Johnny Franklin, Hattie Franklin, Michael Franklin, Mark Franklin, and Edward McKay Jr; Grandchildren Daetreon, Manique, Daeshanice, Mary, Mariah, Nytryl, Martiko, DaeQuan, Nashaya, Naudia, and Armannay; Great Grandson Daetreon Jr; and a host of nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends.
