Robert Bruce Dilmore Sr

Robert Bruce Dilmore, Sr., 88, of Stokesdale, NC went to be with the Lord at his home Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Bob was born November 9, 1930 in Denver, Colorado, the third of four brothers to Hermon and Helen Dilmore. Although he moved to many other States in his career with Buick Motor Division and Management Performance Groups, he always loved to adventure back to his Colorful Colorado to go trout fishing. Bob attended Colgate University before marrying Marjorie Bacon and having his first four children all while climbing the corporate ladder with Buick where he became the Director of Nation Fleet Sales in Flint, Michigan. He later started his own Automotive Management Consulting Company, MPG Management Performance Groups where he continued to work even at 87. He married again, Teresa Tomberlin, and help raise another two step daughters. His love and care for all six children and now sixteen grandchildren and ten great grand children was core to Bob's heart and joy, along with his love for God and His church. Bob sang in the Choir and taught Sunday School at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 wives Marjorie, and Teresa Dilmore. Bob is survived by 4 daughters, Cindi Leacock (Gordon) of Ann Arbor, Mich., Linda Tribbey (John) of Rushville, Ill., Allison Ellis (Joey) of Savannah, Ga., and Alaina Owen (Brandon) of Syracuse, NY.; 2 sons Robby Dilmore, Jr (Tammy) of Stokesdale, NC, and Mark Dilmore (Debbi) of Charlotte, Tenn.; 6 grand sons, Michael, Ricky, Leslie, Robby, Griffin, and Dan; 11 grand daughters, Tess, Mariah, Sara, Grace, Lily, Kayla, Bella, Joy, Kyra, Jennifer, and Julie; 6 great-grand sons Devin, David, Kash, Leo, Derek, and Ryder; 4 great-grand daughters, Lexi, Lila, Ashley, and Jianna; and his beloved dog Corgi. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Central Baptist Church 1715 NC-68, Oak Ridge, NC 27310 with Pastor Roy Carter, Pastor David Miller, Robby Dilmore, and Mr. JC Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Central Baptist Church. Internment and graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 25, 2019 at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery, 1336 Dean Forrest RD, Savannah, Ga. 31405. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jesus Labor of Love, 2238 Saura Ln, Winston Salem, NC 27107.
