Stephen (“Steve”) Mitchell Rose, Jr., 62, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease and end stage renal disease. Steve was born in Bermuda on December 18, 1958. He married Janet M. Creasy on September 22, 1984. They were married for 36 years. They had one daughter, Lauren, born in November 1985, who gave him two beautiful grandchildren that he loved. He worked a number of jobs over the years, including real estate and reservations. Steve was a lover of music, sports, and food. His favorite band was Chicago, and his music taste ranged from Josh Groban to Shania Twain to Journey. His favorite sports teams were the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Detroit Lions. His favorite food was Buddy’s Pizza in Detroit, MI. His favorite place to be was on or near a beach in Florida. He enjoyed traveling, and he loved driving fast. He had a huge interest in the weather and chasing thunderstorms. He always had a positive attitude and could find something good in almost any situation. He never complained about anything and had such a great sense of humor. Steve’s brain was donated to Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center to further research in Huntington’s Disease, and now he will get to travel the world. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen M. Rose, Sr. He is survived by his wife Janet M.
