Tami Rayette Shanahan nee Cantrell, 51, of Kernersville went to be with her Lord on, November 11, 2021. She was born in Mercer County, West Virginia, on May 14, 1970, to her mother Linda Cantrell. She graduated from Pilot High School, Pilot Point, Texas.
One of her great Joys second to the Lord Jesus Christ, was her Grandchildren who brought her true happiness. This was clearly evident, by the expression on her face as she opened her arms to receive them, when they visited her during her illness.
She could have been completely drowsy, when they came in, but as soon as she heard the sound of their presence, she perked up and got strength and vigor that only her love for them could bring. She would then proceed to receive and give hugs and kissed repeatedly, as they enjoyed each other’s love.
The love she had was not limited to her family or loved ones; for she gave freely of it to those who knew her.
So, in accordance with true love, Tami was very generous, and supplied the needs of many, throughout her relatively short life. Tami was cherished as a wife, by her loving Husband of 15 years, Rob. She was a pillar of support to him. Always assisting in home tasks and work, as she shared his burden and lessened his load. She will always be remembered by him as a wife, partner and his best friend.
Tami was preceded in death by her brother Lee. She is survived by her husband Robert John Shanahan; son Christopher Spaugh; mother Linda Cantrell; sister Mechele; brother Terry; stepchildren Daniel Shanahan Jacqueline Bailey (nee Shanahan); grandchildren Anthony, DJ, Ezra, Levi, Brooklynn and Vanessa.
