Mrs. Teresa Diana Wardlaw - Howell, 64, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born June 4, 1959, in Forsyth County, NC to the late Everette and Nancy Dody Vestal. Teri, as she was affectionately known, was a very generous and giving person, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved to talk on the phone, and was known for her “marathon” conversations that everyone loved. Teri was very fond of pastel colors and her favorite flowers were carnations and red roses. She was also an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers and she amassed a large impressive collection over several decades. Teri was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1977 and she also received numerous training certificates throughout her career. She held several jobs in Winston-Salem and retired with 26 1/2 years of service as a supervisor at US Airways (previously Piedmont Airlines). She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Ulysses Howell; stepdaughter, Liza Ann Howell (Lenior, NC); two sisters-in-law, Sandra Jeanne Howell (Parkville, MD) and Rev. Marina Antoinette Skinner (Johnny C. Taylor) (Colorado Springs, CO); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and her much loved fur baby, Grace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved fourlegged baby, FiFi. The Celebration of Life Service for Teri is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11th in the Chapel at Twin City Cremations and Funeral Services located at 122 N. Spruce Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Call 336-842-3028 to arrange for deliveries of flowers.
