Timothy R. Hall, 65, was received by our Lord on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2020 at his home. Tim was born on October 17, 1954 in Schuyler County, New York to Norman Hall and Jane Hoover Hall as their only child. Tim was enamored with Norman’s service in the military flying PBY Catalinas throughout his life, and loved his parents deeply. He was married to Linda M. Hall for 41 years, the love of his life. They lived most of their life in South Florida, serving to Tim’s love of seafood and warm weather, before moving to North Carolina in 2005. Tim was beloved by all who knew him, and could get along with anybody. He had many stories, jokes, or ideas to share, and was open-minded to anybody he met. Though health problems began setting in later in life, he was still active and ever chipper, never letting anybody else get him down. He was a thoughtful husband and dutiful father, making sure everybody had some before he did. Tim had many interests and lines of work throughout his life. He loved baseball, softball, cars, and motorcycles. Other interests include practicing with firearms, conversation, and building model cars and airplanes. Tim enjoyed airplanes and flying, and could frequently be found in airport observation parking lots watching flights take off and land while listening to the air control tower radio. He has raced top fuel dragsters for a living, worked in print shops, and later sold guns, but his life’s career was in all types of Police work, from regular field work to SWAT and Vice, serving the City of Delray Beach Police Department. His work was his passion, second only to family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law Doris and Seal Adams; and another of his lifelong best friends Mike Morse. Tim is survived by his wife Linda Hall; and son Timothy Hall; as well as his cousins Larry Hoover, David Hoover, and Linda Gilmore on his side of the family. He also has two of his lifelong best friends, Tom and Dave. He is also survived by his wife’s side of the family, including Rick & Pat Ramirez, Pete & Denise Adams, Di & Ron Silverman, Sherry & Rich Dugan, Mike & Carol Moore, Jerry Moore and Dee & Kent Stuart. A service in his memory will be held in the sanctuary of River Oaks Church, in Clemmons, North Carolina on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm with pastor Andrew Wild officiating. All are welcome, especially those who knew him or his family. The family asks that any donations be made to River Oaks Community Church on Tim’s behalf.
