William Banks Dellinger, 84, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday November 8, 2020. He was born June 29, 1936 in Catawba County, North Carolina to Everett and Mamie Harvey Dellinger. William who everyone knew him by and called him was Banks, and was also known as Stump. He had a great sense of humor and loved the phrase “eat up with it” and used that phase often. The son of a minister, Banks and his wife Charlotte loved and would travel to different places and sing Southern Gospel music. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Atlanta Braves and the Duke Blue Devils. Banks was loved by his family and everyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents. His is survived by his wife Charlotte of 45 years; three sons Allen (Sharon), Darrell (Sandy), and Jared (Jenny); a daughter Katrina “Tina” Rich; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday December 6, 2020 at Clemmons First Baptist Church with Dr. Wade Arnold officiating.
