William “Billy” Dean Harris

William "Billy" Dean Harris, 65, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born March 7, 1952 in Mount Airy, NC to the late Orman M. Harris and Doris Harris Pollard. He had a life full of love and always made sure to tell his family he loved them; and had a smile that could brighten a room. Other than his family he "loved" his Pepsi. He was preceded in death by his infant sister Lynn, and niece Cindy H. Wilson. He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Jean Carter Harris. Children; daughter Shannon Harris Queen and son Michael Josh Harris. Three brothers; Philip Harris, Randy Harris, and Richard Harris. Grandchildren; granddaughter Brandy Queen Saltzman and husband Will, and grandson Alexander S. Queen, and their father Michael Queen. A celebration of life will be held at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, in Winston-Salem at a later date with inurnment following in the church graveyard. The family will receive visitors Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the same church, from 3 PM to 5PM in the Family Life Center.
